This list will be the focus of my research over the next few months. Unlike the study I did at the end of 2010, I will only be looking at the technical patterns. My plan is to create a sort of pattern library with these stocks on this page, and update it annually. By 2021 I will have 1000 of the top stocks of the decade in a library. Built in a day, Rome was not.
The objective of this research (combined with previous study from 2010) is to create a position trading method to use in my 401k. Initially my goal was to find 5 trades a year that make 50%, and I believe the method I end up with will meet that goal, although I am not focused on the number of trades. This method may have entry zones that are more than a year apart so I am not holding that as a rule, and quality trumps quantity when it comes to position trading.
In creating the method I will use knowledge of other methods I have studied through both reading and videos/exercises on Stockbee.biz; mainly Jesse Livermore (How To Trade In Stocks), William O'Neil (IBD), and John Boik (Monster Stocks).
